A fan of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has found a surprisingly simple method to prevent Link from catching on fire in the volcanic heat of the Eldin region. Extreme temperatures are a prevalent threat to Link's survival throughout the game; numerous regions of the map are plagued with bitter cold or searing desert sun, but in the Goron territory around Legend of Zelda's famous Death Mountain, the air is so hot that Link is at risk of bursting into flames.
In order to survive these extreme conditions, Breath of the Wild furnishes the player with a number of solutions. Players can make use of Breath of the Wild's cooking mechanics to produce dishes and elixirs that will allow Link to temporarily withstand the elements, but a simpler method is to simply purchase outfits that will provide long-lasting protection. One such outfit can be found in Goron City to keep Link from bursting into flames, and it's all but necessary for players who wish to make prolonged excursions into the home of Legend of Zelda's iconic Gorons.

But players who want a more unorthodox solution can turn to Reddit user Champions-Descendant, who's found a clever trick to keep Link safe from the flames. A video uploaded by the user shows Link attempting the Test of Will challenge, a side quest which tasks the player with enduring fiery heat without the help of elixirs or protective gear. In the video, Link simply drops a piece of ChuChu jelly at his feet and strikes it with the Master Sword, effectively dousing the flames. Champions-Descendant explains that this works because ChuChu jellies function like water in Breath of the Wild, and Link cannot burn while he's wet.
