Looks like there will be more reasons to celebrate for Apple fans going by the latest rumors. Apple iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max may get a storage boost all the way up to 256GB instead of 128GB of the starting model. Additionally, even the cheapest iPhone 14 model will have a 6GB RAM and 120 Hz ProMotion display. However, there may be disappointments too as some other leaks suggest a few of the expected upgrades for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max may get delayed.
In MacRumors’ latest update, analyst Jeff Pu has revealed some details regarding Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 series. To add some context before delving deeper, in the previous instalment of iPhone 13 series, Apple added upgrades in the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max in three areas to separate them from iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, the non Pro models. These were the camera quality, ProMotion display and RAM size. While both iPhone 13 Pro series and the non Pro series had a 12MP rear camera, the non-Pro variants lacked telephoto, optical zoom and LiDAR scanner. Similarly, the Pro models were equipped with 6GB RAM while the non-Pro ones had 4GB RAM.
It is believed that Apple may remove its iPhone mini model and replace it with a non-Pro Max edition. With new rumors coming to light, it seems that Apple may eliminate two of those distinguishing features in the non-Pro models.
