Apple has announced a new challenge for its iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max users. Labelled as ‘Shot on iPhone’ challenge, it is a macro photography competition. People need to take macro photos on their iPhone 13 Pro series devices and share them either on social media like Instagram, Twitter and Weibo or email them directly to Apple. The challenge was announced on January 25 and it will continue till February 16. At the end of the competition, Apple will select 10 winners who will get featured in Apple newsroom as well as its various marketing campaigns.
The competition will entail participants to take macro photos on their iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max and share the best images. There are two ways to share these images. First, participants can share these images on Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #ShotoniPhone and #iPhonemacrochallenge. Weibo users can share their images using #ShotoniPhone# and #iPhonemacrochallenge#.
If a participant is not on any of these social media platforms, he/she can share these images directly via email to shotoniphone@apple.com. The file format of the image should be ‘firstname_lastname_macro_iPhonemodel’ and the subject line should be ‘Shot on iPhone Macro Challenge Submission’. Both original images and edited images from iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max are permissible for the photography competition.
Apple has stated that the winner will be announced in April after a panel of judges process all the images and select 10 winning photographs.
