An insider has suggested that DC's Peacemaker and Homelander from The Boys could be guest characters in the first Kombat Pack for the next Mortal Kombat.
Now that NetherRealm has started openly teasing the next Mortal Kombat through videos of grains of sand and ticking clocks, it seems like the leaking floodgates have opened. Just earlier today, an insider claimed that the game will be titled Mortal Kombat 1, that it's aiming for a September release date, and that there will be an expensive collector's edition. Sorry, Kollector's Edition.

It seems that even more details are now being reported on Mortal Kombat 1, as an insider has now revealed some of the potential characters that might be coming to the game's first Kombat Pass. According to Windows Central, the first Kombat Pass might include DC's Peacemaker (hopefully based on John Cena's portrayal of the character) and Homelander from The Boys. That should settle all those debates on who can beat the whiny superhero up.
Windows Central also notes that it has heard that the character pass will "feature various properties owned by Warner Brothers", which means that Peacemaker likely isn't the only character from the WB stable that'll be added to the game. It's not clear whether or not this means that other Mortal Kombat characters won't be included in the pass, but it does seem to imply that guest characters are going to be a lot more important this time around.
