An insider has claimed that Conan the Barbarian might be one of the guest characters included in Mortal Kombat 1's (still not used to that) first Kombat Pack.
After years of hype and speculation over what NetherRealm Studios was up to next being shattered in an instant by a Warner Bros. earnings call confirming that a new Mortal Kombat was on the way, we've heard a lot of rumours about the next game in the series. The first is that it's apparently called Mortal Kombat 1 and aiming for a release in September, which tracks with recent teases that suggest a timeline reset.

The other most noteworthy rumour is one from Windows Central that suggests that DC's Peacemaker and The Boys' Homelander will be guest characters featured in the first Kombat Pack. Now, Windows Central's Jez Corden has detailed another guest character who he has heard might be appearing in the game - Conan the Barbarian.
As pointed out by LinkWink on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, Corden spoke about Mortal Kombat 1 and the characters he's heard might be in it on the Xbox Two podcast. This leads him to talk about Conan the Barbarian, the third guest character that he's mentioned hearing rumours about making an appearance, although he's not currently sure if it's just the comic version of the character or the Arnold Schwarzenegger iteration.
Corden said, "There's also a few other characters that I know about. I've heard Conan the Barbarian might be a character".
