The hit science-fiction horror seriesStranger Thingsis ready to transport its fans to Hawkins, Indiana… circa 1985. Teaming up with Fever, Netflix is set to deliver a brand-new immersive exhibition called Stranger Things: The Experience which begins in New York City on May 7. Future events are planned for San Francisco and around the world.
Developed with the show's creators, the experience teases 80s iconography and supernatural spooks as attendees venture through Hawkins Plaza — which sounds an awful lot like Starcourt Mall. Throughout the adventure, fans will explore the Hawkins Lab, the Upside Down, and some other fan-favorite Stranger Things locations including Scoops Ahoy and the Palace Arcade.

«The rift is open and we’re excited that our Stranger Things fans will get to jump into the magic once more,” shared Greg Lombardo, Head of Experiences at Netflix. „This time they will take on the challenges themselves and work alongside Eleven, Mike, and the rest of the gang to fight the evil monsters plaguing Hawkins. As Dustin would say, you always say we should never stop being curious, to always open any curiosity door we find.“
This announcement follows an influx of news regarding the highly-anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things. Show creators Matt and Ross Duffer have stated that the beloved science-fiction series will end after season five. However, there could still be some spin-offs in the works.
