The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes has just grown its cast even further, adding up-and-coming actress Hunter Schafer. The Lionsgate prequel to the hit YA trilogy is based on Suzanne Collins' 2020 novel, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, which tells the story of a young Coriolanus Snow. The studio previously revealed that West Side Story star Rachel Zegler would play District 12 tribute Lucy Gray Baird, alongside Tom Blyth (Billy The Kid) as Snow himself.
Lionsgate previously revealed five other cast members for The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. Schafer will join Jerome Lance as Marcus, a tribute from District 2; Knox Gibson as Bobbin from District 8; Mackenzie Lansing as Coral from District 4; Ashley Liao as Clemensia Dovecote, and Aamer Husain as Felix Ravinstill, who are each District 11 mentors. The cast is full of fresh faces on the rise, and they're certain to create a stir among fans of The Hunger Games franchise.
