Spells in Spades is the title of the major July patch, in reference to the Mage's new third advanced class, the Arcanist. Similar to Final Fantasy 14's Astrologian, the Arcanist uses a deck of cards imbued with Magick. The Arcanist can slice up enemies with thrown cards or cast Magick abilities with the cards, with many cards modifying the Arcanist's skills to adapt to a variety of situations. A Punika Powerpass will be available with the release of the new class, instantly advancing the character to the end of the Punika storyline with a 1302 item level. The Valtan Legion Raid is getting a new Inferno difficulty level with more rewards to match, and Challenge Abyssal Dungeons are being added as a weekly activity with varied item level-based difficulties.
