When Sony first launched its next-generation PlayStation 5 console, it did so during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the need for people to practice social distancing, much of the PS5 stock has been sold exclusively online. This persists to this day, with retailers rarely offering in-store PS5 restocks. However, video game retailer GameStop is set to host a huge PS5 restock that will reportedly include all its stores in the US.
GameStop has sent out an email to customers informing them of its latest PS5 restock, which will happen in-store on Saturday, April 23. However, anyone interested in trying to get their hands on a PlayStation 5 console through this latest restock will need to keep a few things in mind.

For one, this latest GameStop PS5 restock is exclusive to the company's PowerUp Rewards Pro members. GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro is a membership program that customers can sign up for to get various perks, one of those being first dibs on new console stock. However, simply being a PowerUp Rewards Pro member will not guarantee one a PlayStation 5 during the restock on April 23. Supplies will still be very limited, so prepare accordingly.
The other thing to keep in mind is that customers won't be able to purchase a standalone PS5 console through the restock; they will have to purchase PS5 bundles instead. There will be four PS5 bundles available for shoppers to choose from, with two coming with a standard PS5 disc console and the other two coming with a PS5 Digital Edition console.
