HP Spectre x360, the flagship laptops from HP, is now taking on the recently launch Apple MacBook Air and MacBook Pro with M2 chips. Both the laptops get a refreshed design, lots of smart features inside, and lots of performance upgrades. The Spectre x360 comes in two sizes this year – a new 13.5-inch size and a 16-inch size. Both the models are based on the newest 12th Gen Intel processors.
The HP Spectre x360 series is available in two colour schemes – Nightfall Black with pale brass accent, and Nocturne Blue with celestial blue accents. The HP Spectre 13.5 x360 will be available at a price of Rs. 129,999 and the HP Spectre 16 x360 will be available at a price of Rs. 139,999. Both new HP Spectre x360 laptops are currently available for pre-bookings via the HP website, select HP World stores, Croma, and Reliance stores.
The Spectre x360 16 (2022) model gets a 16-inch 4K OLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Note that this display also supports touchscreen input, is VESA certified, and is assisted by a 5MP IR camera. HP says its HP Auto Frame camera feature keeps the user in focus wherever they are, kind of like Apple's CenterStage. The AI-based privacy alerts feature blurs the screen when someone is behind in a bid to enhance privacy in public workspaces.
The laptop also gets features such as walk away lock and wake on approach. HP also bakes in Health and Well-being features like Screen distance reminder and Screen time reminder for a quick break. There's even support for Gesture controls like pause, play, forward and previous. The laptop also includes directional beam-forming microphones and quad speakers along with bi-directional AI noise reduction to offer enhanced video and audio call experiences.
