The Hearth and Home update in offers players a new way in which to experiment with making in-game food by cooking it in a stone oven. In order to combat the expected deterioration of a player's health status, players are required to eat something.
This advanced feature provides more options in regard to food combinations by offering players a Stone Oven. Players can experiment with different blends of raw foods in order to meet their needs for the method in which they play this survival game.

The Stone Oven can be unlocked by simply gathering the items required to build it. In order to make a stone oven in, players must collect 15 Iron, 20 Stone, and 4 Surtling Cores. Iron can be found inside chests or dungeons within the Swamp. Unlike Iron, Stone is relatively easy to find.
Stone can be picked up from the ground basically anywhere across the entire map and can be mined from larger rocks. Surtling Cores are found inside the Burial Chambers located within the Black Forest biome. Once these items are in a player's pockets, a Hammer can be used to construct the Stone Oven. Take note that players must be within the confined distance set by the Artisan Table.
In order to start utilizing the Stone Oven, players must feed it Wood in the lower input. This slot can hold up to ten pieces of Wood. The item being cooked is to be placed in the topmost slot. This space can hold up to four items. It takes approximately 50 seconds for items to be cooked, smoke is emitted from the Stone Oven while this is occurring.
If items are left inside the Stone Oven for more than 100 seconds, they will imitate burnt food by turning it into Coal.
