The app is also compatible with the mobile sensation that is Pokemon GO, and this guide will go over how to transfer Pokemon from Pokemon GO into Pokemon Home.
The first thing that Poke-fans need to do is open up their Pokemon GO application on their mobile device. From the main screen, touch the Poke Ball icon at the bottom, and then press Settings at the top of the menu, which has a Gear icon next to it. Scroll to the bottom to find a list of things that Pokemon GO can potentially connect with, including Poke Ball Plus, Pokemon GO Plus, and, most importantly, Pokemon Home.

After selecting the Pokemon Home option, players must sign into the same Nintendo account used for Pokemon Home. From there, Pokemon GO users can send over Pokemon using the GO Transporter and GO Transporter Energy. The energy charges up over time, so players will need to be careful about sending over too many Pokemon at once. Once the accounts have been linked, there will be an option in the Settings to send Pokemon.
Pokemon sent to Pokemon Home cannot be returned to Pokemon GO. Also, certain Pokemon cannot be transferred to other games.
Now that the chosen Pokemon have been sent to Pokemon Home, open the application. For the Switch version, players will see an option on the main menu to receive Pokemon from Pokemon GO.
As for the mobile version, a notification should pop up telling players that Pokemon have been transferred over.
