Hyenas, a flashy multiplayer, sci-fi shooter/escape room coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC from Creative Assembly under SEGA’s vast umbrella was officially announced on June 22. If the trailer left you wanting more, or a better understanding of its bombastic, zero-g gameplay, you’re in luck. Creative Assembly is working on getting alpha playtests out into the hands of players soon, and we can guide you down the path to early access.
How to sign up for Hyenas alpha accessThe trailer prompts watchers to take a trip down to Hyenas’s website, playhyenas.com. There, you can rewatch the trailer and learn a little more about the gameplay and flavor. They tease a bit more pop-culture merch that will be up for the taking during gameplay, a touch more flavor (seems like we’re going to be reclaiming some dignity from Mars billionaires), and a little clarification on the abilities we were bombarded with during the trailer.
After you’ve taken in the sights, and verified your age, there are a pair of buttons on either end of the site prompting you to sign up for alpha access. This is about as difficult as the process gets. You’re going to need to sign up for a Creative Assembly account if you don’t already have one, and since the announcement of this game was so compelling, the servers allowing you to do so may be a bit bogged down. Once that account verification email comes through, all that’s left is activating your account, logging back in, and filling out the forms to sign up for alpha access.
