Power Extraction also referred to as «Essence Extraction» in Diablo Immortal, is the process by which adventurers can withdraw the power from an item imbued with a Legendary attribute. For example, suppose players possess the Legendary «Flaming Arrow» in a crossbow but wish to place this attribute into another crossbow. In that case, they must first extract Flaming Arrow from the original item in Diablo Immortal. This power Extraction procedure destroys the initial crossbow in the process but recovers any Gems or valuable materials.
For Essence Extraction to be available in Diablo Immortal, players must first have two Legendary weapons with the same armament type. So, naturally, it is not possible to imbue the Legendary attribute of a chest piece into a sword or mace. Next, adventurers cannot Extraction on their own but must visit a woman named Zamina, an NPC who offers an Essence Transfer service within Westmarch. To find her, players can fast travel to the Rakkis Plaza Waypoint and walk to the squiggly flame icon directly north, by the western road of the plaza.

Zamina does not offer her services for free but charges Diablo Immortal adventurers 3,000 Gold on average per Extraction. As mentioned above, once the Legendary power has been extracted from a particular gear piece, it can never be recovered unless found in loot again. Therefore, players must ensure that their decision is sound before committing to the permanent destruction of said item.
