Diablo 4 has revealed all of its classes, and they aren't worth getting too excited for. In an attempt to return to the success of early games in the franchise, Blizzard is being too safe in its decisions for Diablo 4 content. Blizzard's need to make up for its recent lackluster games and controversies is forcing them to be too careful with Diablo 4's design, which might end up being the game's downfall.
Diablo 4 is the next installment in Blizzard's action RPG series. From what's been shown so far, it will be an open-world game, and Blizzard plans on making the map fairly massive. Both of those aspects will be new to Diablo, but not unwelcome. Diablo 4 will incorporate elements from past games, but also have new features. Players can join the fight between the Heavens and Hells once more in 2023.

The final of the 5 classes that Diablo 4 will feature at launch has been revealed as the necromancer, and it rounds out a set without any new or groundbreaking classes being featured. The classes available at launch will be barbarian, druid, sorceress, rogue, and necromancer. However, Diablo 4's character customization gives more freedom than its predecessors, which might help make up for the lack of new classes.
After the lackluster launch of Diablo 3 followed by Diablo Immortal quickly earning the title of Blizzard's worst-ranked game, Blizzard needs Diablo 4 to redeem the franchise. It isn't surprising that Blizzard is playing it safe in regards to Diablo 4 and trying to reclaim what fans loved about Diablo 2.
