How I Met Your Father Revives HIMYM Finale's Greatest Deleted Scenes
HIMYM season 9 had a few incredible deleted scenes that would have made the ending even better, and How I Met Your Father’s season 1 finale brings them back into the actual series’ canon. After some long-term speculation as to when characters from the original series would appear, How I Met Your Father’s season 1 finale finally brings back three significant HIMYM characters for cameos. After The Captain and Becky first appeared in How I Met Your Father episode 9, main character Robin Scherbatsky joined them in the finale, with two of the characters referencing the greatest deleted scenes from HIMYM’s ending.
In wrapping up the nine-season series, How I Met Your Mother’s time constraints in its last few episodes meant a few storylines were left unfinished. Not only was a scene cut that solved a series-long mystery, but HIMYM also deleted a scene that would have made Ted and Robin controversially ending up together even better. With The Captain and Robin cameoing in How I Met Your Father’s season 1 finale, the stories from these two HIMYM season 9 deleted scenes were revived and finally restored into the series’ official canon.
