Despite positive reception to Halo Infinite's approach to its PvP multiplayer component, its first season of content has had large amounts of community feedback from fans. With Halo Infinite being a live service, fans have pointed out that the lack of new content since the games' launch has been a problem.
With the games' competition setting a remarkably high bar, particularly with the ever-changing Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone, Halo Infinite has always had an uphill battle to simply compete in an already crowded market. With the announcement of Season 2 (titled «Lone Wolves») being released in May, it seems that 343 is looking to incorporate player feedback and address issues raised in a big way.
Halo Infinite Players Want Better Vehicle Explosions
The developer has already acknowledged community concerns, going so far as to say that it understands that the community has run out of patience and words were no longer enough to satisfy their concerns with Halo Infinite's current status. While details remain vague on what to expect in Season 2, there is enough information being released to see that a large amount of core feedback is being addressed, and as a result, the community is responding positively.
As detailed in a recent teaser trailer, Halo Infinite's new season will include a new battle pass, new maps, and new modes. The trailer shows an Arena map called Catalyst and a new Big Team Battle map called Breaker. The latter map looks to shake things up with a fire pit that separates parts of the map.
New modes were also outlined by 343 that include a free-for-all elimination mode titled Last Spartan Standing and a new mode titled Land Grab, which seems to be a new take on the popular King of the Hill game mode.
