Guerrilla Games isn’t done tweaking Horizon Forbidden West. We got an update last week that fixed a bunch of progress-halting quest bugs and made Aloy talk a little less, and now patch 1.07 is here. This one improves the game’s performance mode and fixes even more of those broken quests.
As detailed on Reddit, the patch notes begin by addressing some known issues. The team has been “working vigilantly” on the visual hiccups found in Horizon’s Favor Performance mode, and update 1.07 makes “several tweaks to vegetation” in that regard. Players were noticing strange shimmering and saturation in the game’s grass, which should now be improved, although the team invites more feedback about outstanding issues.
As for the full patch notes (found at the bottom of this article), there are a ton of fixes for main and side quests, including Reach for the Stars, Death’s Door, and The Sea of Sands. Many of these same quests were named in the previous update, so apparently there was more to fix. Further improvements to the UI, graphics, and photo mode are also among the changes made.
Guerrilla is also working on other known issues, including Firegleam icons not going away and repeating music tracks. Future updates will address these additional problems.
