Zelda's design from isn't the most elaborate, as the princess has previously been depicted in flowing dresses with long locks. In however, the beloved character shows up with her hair in a short bob and a more streamlined dress design.
In spite of, or maybe because of the design's simplicity, it's been difficult for cosplayers to get all the details correct. Cosplayer grumpybonescosplay on Reddit gets the design just right, however, down to the smallest detail. The incredible outfit is entirely handmade by the cosplayer, and features Zelda in her short white dress with signature green front and bottom panels. The cosplayer also wears a perfectly styled wig, wraparound, and sandals, and carries a replica of the Master Sword. The design is beautifully made anda faithful recreation of the game's princess.
Every part of the cosplay outfit, except for the wig, was handmade by the cosplayer. The pieces were sewn while partially following patterns but modified heavily. The lining was sewn on partially by hand, for more control over fit and shape.

Grumpybonescosplay changed every piece of the pattern to get the best fit and create the most accurate representation of the game's dress. The fabric is a mix of silk and, according to the creator, is as soft as it appears in Grumpybonescosplay's Instagram pictures.
The most complex part of the outfit is the print down the front of the dress, which displays a detailed pattern. Grumpybonescosplay recreated this with 290 hand-made beads made of Polymer clay. The signature circlet crown was also sculpted by hand from clay.
