How do you get a Broomstick in Hogwarts Legacy? The ability to fly around Hogwarts and the surrounding area is one of the big appeals of Hogwarts Legacy, so you are likely wondering how to actually unlock it. As part of our Hogwarts Legacy guide, we're going to reveal how to get a Broomstick and then how to mount a Broomstick.
To get a Broomstick and start flying around Hogwarts, you need to progress the Main Quest until you complete Flying Class. This will teach you the basics of flight control in the game, and then Sprintwiches Sporting Needs in Hogsmeade opens up and you can buy your own Broomstick. They all cost 600 Coins. The shop will always be there in Hogsmeade prior to Flying Class, but it'll be locked and you can't get in.
Therefore, simply keep playing the game and eventually you will attend Flying Class and unlock the ability to purchase a Broomstick. Then you can explore the grounds around Hogwarts much more quickly, knocking off Collectibles and Side Quests.
In order to get on your Broomstick, hold the L1 button and then hold Circle. You'll then mount your Broomstick and take flight. Some sections of the map — like inside Hogwarts, for example — don't allow you to take flight. You'll know this to be the case when an icon of a bird with a red line struck through it is displayed next to your mini-map.
