The developer of the much anticipated upcoming Hogwarts Legacy role-playing game has unknowingly leaked a snapshot of the UI. In March, gameplay of the Harry Potter-inspired game was showcased during a nearly 20-minute PlayStation State of Play broadcast. Fans were able to get a peek at gameplay that included classroom activities, exploration, combat, and fragments of the overall narrative. Some savvy fans have discovered that the gameplay trailer has actually revealed more than developer Avalanche Software probably wanted.
Prior to March's first look at the open-world video game, much about Hogwarts Legacy was kept under wraps. Though the RPG was first mentioned in 2020, Warner Bros only recently teased a gameplay trailer of Hogwarts Legacy. Furthermore, the upcoming game will not feature the titular character of the Harry Potter franchise. The game will instead act as a prequel set in the 19th century and feature a cast of new characters. Players will be given the opportunity to create their own custom wizard or witch and even choose which of the four Hogwarts houses they want to be sorted in.

As reported by ComicBook, it seems that Hogwarts Legacy developer Avalanche Software may have unintentionally revealed content from its own game. This discovery was made by several eagle-eyed fans and posted on Reddit — much like the supposed Diagon Alley secret from Hogwarts Legacy. The alleged leak actually came from the PlayStation State of Play broadcast of the game.
