Hideo Kojima is once again teasing his next game

Hideo Kojima is a renowned Japanese video game developer who rose to fame thanks to his work on franchises like the Metal Gear Solid series. Frankly, it’s hard not to know about him if you keep up with video game news, as he also frequently appears on shows run by Geoff Keighley. However, it’s been a while since the initial release of his most recent game, Death Stranding. The time feels right for Kojima to announce something new. Now, the developer is teasing that his next game reveal might come sooner than we thought.

In a post on Twitter, Kojima simply said, “The answer to ‘WHO’ at TGS will be in the next ‘WHERE.’” Alongside this cryptic message was an image of a woman, but it’s too dark to make out her facial features clearly. That said, she bears some resemblance to actor Margaret Qualley. Qualley previously played a prominent role in Death Stranding, so it wouldn’t be surprising if she was the mysterious figure.

Kojima is typically cryptic when it comes to new game reveals, but his latest message seems to suggest that it won’t be long before we find out what his next project is. Knowing the relationship Kojima shares with Keighley, as well as the TGS reference in the tweet, it could even be as soon as The Game Awards 2022. Kojijma first revealed the teaser image in his tweet at Tokyo Game Show, and Keighley himself has responded to Kojima’s latest Tweet with an eyes emoji.

If the game does indeed star Qualley, then it could be the rumored game known as Overdose. Reports previously claimed that this is a horror game featuring dark corridors and both third and first-person perspectives.
