The World of Warcraft team is notorious for including references to gaming culture in their game to this day. While searching for the Sudden Death Warrior Rune in Phase 4 of Season of Discovery, we have found yet another salute to one of the most iconic games in history — DOOM!

To acquire the Sudden Death Warrior rune in Season of Discovery, you will need to defeat the Wandering Swordsman in Silithus.
This Rare Elite NPC is no stranger to Warriors in SoD — he has been challenging Warriors in exchange for runes since Phase 1, making appearances in the starting zones, the Badlands, and Tanaris.
Now, back to the Swordsman in question: Throughout the Infinite Midnight quest, which will reward you with Timeless Wanderer's Insights, the NPC wants you to choose a difficulty level before fighting a Titanic Watcher. Beware: You will only receive the quest completion step on Medium and Hard Difficulty!
