Helldivers 2 players have their next Major Order, which will bring in some heavy firepower in the form of a new mech that is armed with autocannons.
It's been pretty rough in the Galactic War recently, as players have struggled to complete two Major Orders in a row, both of which asking them to take down billions of Super Earth's enemies. First, players were asked to take out 2 billion Automatons, a mission they failed, resulting in the start of the "second Galactic War". After that, their second mission was to take down a little over 3 billion enemies, regardless of their type, but this was also too much of an ask for a fanbase that once took down 2 billion Terminids with ease.
It's clear that players need more firepower to start dishing out freedom on a larger scale, and it seems like the game's new Major Order is keen to provide it. If you log into the game, you'll be greeted with a message from Super Earth telling all forces to divert their attention to the planet Varylia 5, which is home to an Automaton "Petafactory" that is being used to mass produce weapons.
Once the planet has been liberated once again, Super Earth has explained it will be able to convert the Automaton factory to produce a new mech called the Dual-Autocannon EXO-49 EMANCIPATOR EXOSUIT. From the name, we can glean that the mech will be strapped with a couple of autocannons, considered one of the game's best stratagems on its own, so it's safe to say that players are keen to get this one on the battlefield.
Unsurprisingly, that is currently the case, as while Varylia 5's liberation meter is only at a little over 12.4 percent at the time of writing, there are also over 53,000 players currently trying to liberate the planet. That's pretty much the entire player base at this moment in time, with a couple of thousand people here and there off doing lord knows what. Hopefully, players manage to break their Major Order losing streak, and we'll be stomping around in new mechs before the end
