Fans ofKaiju, Mechagodzilla, and Hellboy can rejoice in knowing that all three have now been combined into one Giant Robot Hellboy statue, approved by Dark Horse and Mantic Games. The concept of a Giant Robot Hellboy originated from the mind of Big Red's creator himself, Mike Mignola. The awesome combination of aesthetics and the intriguing backstory will likely have fans clamoring for a comic story starring this mecha version of Hellboy.
At the beginning of the pandemic, Mignola began sketching different concepts every day. Many of these sketches were posted online, going viral through social media. The widespread popularity of the sketches in the comic book community led to Mignola collaborating with Dark Horse Comics to publish the collection in its entirety in what would be called The Quarantine Sketches. One of the more eye-popping concepts in this collection that would garner attention was one featuring a Giant Robot Hellboy.
