Hearthstone has announced the launch of its upcoming Battlegrounds Season 9. The new season is arriving on December 3rd with significant changes, updates and new features. It’s filled with cosmic vibes, flashy tech and a minion lineup so revamped it feels like the Tavern got a complete overhaul.
Bob’s Technotavern is getting a serious upgrade. Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9 is resetting the ratings. Say goodbye to Trinkets too. They’re taking a bow and making way for other stuff like the new Battlegrounds Tokens.
You can use the new tokens at the hero selection screen to reroll one of your hero options. If you’re stuck with choices you hate, just toss in a token and roll the dice for something better.
Let me give you the reveal and launch schedule first before jumping into other details of Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9. The Naga and Dragon reveals are taking place today, followed by the Quilboar and Beast reveals on November 21st.
Pirate and Duos-only reveals are scheduled for November 22nd, while Murloc and Demon reveals will happen on November 25th. The Elemental and Undead reveals are set for November 26th. And on December 2nd, there will be preview event streams with the 31.2 patch notes dropping later that day.
Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9 is dropping three new heroes. Farseer Nobundo is already stealing the spotlight among them with his Galaxy’s Lens and cosmic flares. Also, almost 90 minions and Tavern spells are either entering or exiting the pools.
The damage cap is getting a tweak, but only in solo Battlegrounds games. Early-game damage will be capped at 5, then gradually increased to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. Once you’re in the top 4, though, it’s off.
The patch officially goes live on December 3rd, dropping Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs. On December 5th, Murlocs and Demons will be added to the minion pool, followed by Undead and Elementals on December 9th.
So, check out Hearthstone from the Google Play Store.
