Halo Infinite's approach to the live-service model has been a tad disappointing. While Halo Infinite showed a great deal of promise upon its initial release, acting like a return to form for the Sci-Fi shooter franchise, the cracks soon began to show. A lack of maps, some missing fan-favorite weapons, and a sparse number of game modes in Halo Infinite all culminated in a somewhat lackluster experience. But by far the biggest disappointment with Halo Infinite has been 343 Industries' approach to fan feedback.
While Halo fans aren't necessarily the calmest fans in the gaming ecosphere, the criticisms leveled towards Halo Infinite were mostly valid, but 343 Industries took quite some time before addressing any of Halo Infinite's gameplay issues. Over the last seven months or so, 343 Industries has implemented a number of changes and added a handful of content to Halo Infinite, and while it's certainly welcome, the game isn't quite there yet. However, that hasn't stopped 343 from continuing to try, even with the recent cancelation of Halo Infinite's campaign co-op, and the upcoming Yappening event is the perfect example of this.
Halo Infinite Reveals Roadmap for Winter Update and Season 3
Announced in a comic strip, tweeted out by the official Halo Twitter account, an event called The Yappening is headed to Halo Infinite next week on September 6. In the comic strip, a Grunt wearing makeshift Spartan armor calls up the UNSC and exclaims that he has some goods to share. Upon being invited inside, the adorable little smuggler opens up his box of wares, revealing some spray cans, a banana keychain, and a soccer ball wearing «Yapyap's very own custom-made rare headfin bladehat.» The final strip of the comic claims that The Yappening
