Guilty Gear Strive has been a huge critical and commercial success for Arc System Works, as it has become one of the highest selling games in the franchise. Guilty Gear Strive is seeing plenty of post-launch support as well, with a season pass of DLC adding five more playable characters. The momentum for this game looks like it will be continuing, with Arc System Works announcing a number of updates that are on the way.
All of these updates were announced at ARCREVO 2021, a Fighting Game Tournament hosted by Arc System Works itself. One of these is the final character being added to Guilty Gear Strive's Season Pass: the returning Testament. Testament has been a part of the franchise since the first game. They will be arriving later this month on the 28th for Season Pass holders and as a separate purchase on the 31st. This will not be the final character added to the game, however, as a second season pass will be available for players to purchase.

This season pass will bring four more characters to Guilty Gear Strive's roster, though no characters or release window have been revealed yet. It will also contain new stages and more music composed by series creator Daisuke Ishiwatari. Alongside this, one of the biggest updates coming to the game will be cross-platform online play on both the Steam and PlayStation versions of the game. Crossplay was something that was discussed by the developers after the launch of Strive, and it seems like this dream will be a reality soon.
