Testament was recently announced as the last DLC character to arrive in Guilty Gear Strive Season Pass 1, with an arrival date of March 28 for Season Pass holders and March 31 for everyone else. Also, Arc System Works confirmed that Testament is neither male nor female, and is actually non-binary.
Head over to the official Guilty Gear Strive website and you'll see Testament uses they/them pronouns. This is a switch from previous entries in the series which used he/him pronouns even though Testament had always appeared as the androgynous reaper.

As noted by Kotaku, this isn't just on the Strive website either. Arc System Works marketing representative Riku Ozawa told a captivated audience at the Arc Revo America fighting game tournament finals that Testament is officially a non-binary character.
"Agender is the best word. Neither male nor female. Testament is Testament," said Ozawa, later adding, "In English, you would say they and them."
It turns out that Testament may have been non-binary way before Guilty Gear Strive. Testament first appeared as an unlockable character in the original Guilty Gear back in 1998 before becoming a mainline character in 2002's Guilty Gear XX. Back then, Guilty Gear creator Daisuke Ishiwatari told fans in a newsletter interview that Testament wasn't really male or female. "They're androgynous," he said. "In fact, they've transcended human existence. Just like me."
