Fans are spamming the latest update-related news post for Grand Theft Auto Online with #SaveRedDeadOnline protests. The fan-organized 'Save Red Dead Online' campaign kicked into high gear earlier this year after the official Rockstar Games Twitter account invited players to start the new year with bonuses attached to existing content. After months without a content update of consequence, users began expressing their frustration with the state of things, specifically by demanding better in-game support from the studio.
Rockstar's support for Red Dead Online has long paled in comparison to the level of attention GTA Online receives. While the much older online suite added no less than two major content updates in the last year — Los Santos Tuners and The Contract — Red Dead Online faithful were only treated to the summer 2021 Title Update, Blood Money. The summer content introduced new Free Roam missions, Crime Contracts, and Opportunities; however, many viewed these additions as little more than half-steps compared to GTA Online's more robust offerings. Now the 'Save Red Dead Online' brigade is once more trying to apply a bit of pressure.
