Speedrunning has been around for as long as video games have, and it’s easy to see why — the challenge that comes from creating, practicing, and perfecting new strategies to beat the competition is second to none. In World of Warcraft, speedruns typically center around leveling up or completing an entire raid faster than anyone else. One of the most impressive speedrunning records in recent WoW history was held by a Chinese player by the name of Noobs and their raid group who completed Naxxramas in WoW Classic in just 47 minutes — a record thought to be unbeatable at the time. However speedrunner Grrumpyx and their team of raiders have done just that, and they now hold the world record for speedrunning WoW Classic Naxxramas in just 42 minutes and 50 seconds! Luckily for us, they've immortalized the entire record-breaking speedrun on YouTube.
