Incuvo Games’ Green Hell VR released back in April on Meta Quest 2, quickly becoming a bestseller. The game, which is a VR adaptation of Creepy Jar’s Green Hell, was highly praised for its innovative and immersive approach to a VR survival experience. The Steam version was delayed so Incuvo could incorporate some feedback, but now fans know when they can check it out there.
Green Hell VR releases on Steam on June 9, as announced by Incuvo in a new press release. In regards to dividing up the Quest 2 and Steam releases, CEO of Incuvo Games, Andrzej Wychowaniec, said the following: «The decision to split the PCVR and Quest launches was right, over these few extra weeks, we managed to polish important elements in the game to make it worth the wait. We appreciate all the community support, those who have already been playing in Quest 2, and shared feedback — we thank you and hope you enjoy the PCVR version just as much.”
Incuvo Games CEO Discusses How PS VR2 Might Impact the VR Market
To celebrate the upcoming release of Green Hell VR on Steam, Incuvo has released a new story trailer for the game (as seen below). It tells the story of Jake Higgins who becomes stranded in the Amazon Rainforest and must find his wife Mia after the two are separated. Players will need to survive against the environment, the predators, and more, all to achieve one of the game's multiple endings.
The PC VR version of Green Hell VR also features a wider terrain to explore, higher graphic fidelity, and different UI and mechanics to really push home that immersive survival experience. Green Hell VR features 60+ mechanics, which is impressive for a VR game, all focused around hunting, crafting, building, combat, healing, and far more.
