A new Gran Turismo 7 patch has been released that unlocks the ability for players to track wind speed and adds new music into the game’s library, among many other tweaks. The latest entry in the long-running racing game series was released just last week. Gran Turismo 7 received mostly positive reviews, signaling a triumphant return for the franchise. It’s been almost ten years since the release of Gran Turismo 6 back in 2013 so long-time fans of the series who weren’t too happy with 2017’s Gran Turismo Sport can finally rest easy.
While Gran Turismo 7 has been received very well, mostly thanks to its selection of beautiful cars and tracks with their gorgeous scenery along with a selection of both online and arcade modes, not everything in the new racing game is at the same level of quality or quantity as its predecessors or competitors. While the game does have a great selection of vehicles, its roster isn’t as large or up-to-date as its competitors. Like many other recent games, Gran Turismo 7 also requires individuals to stay online even when playing its single-player modes. And, even though most of its visuals are top-notch, Gran Turismo 7’s humans actually look terrible.

Gran Turismo 7 developer Polyphony Digital (via VG247) announced the release of the new update 1.06 on the game’s official website. The patch notes reveal that wind direction and wind speed indicators have been added to the game’s race display, which will consist of an arrow for wind direction and a number for wind speed that will be located on the upper right of the screen below the track map.
