From Software has released a new update for Elden Ring, which adds a commonly requested feature.
The version 1.03 patch will now let players record an icon and the name of an NPC on the game’s map once you encounter them.
Before the update, the game made no visible record of the NPCs a player met, leading some to complain that it was hard to keep track of everyone.
One player even created an iOS app designed to let players manually take note of each NPC they meet.
Other additions include a new NPC called Jar-Bairn, and new quest phases for some of the game’s existing NPCs.
The update also includes numerous bug fixes, as well as some balancing changes designed to tweak the effectiveness of some items and abilities.
