Gran Turismo 7 is just a little under a week away, and is already available for pre-load. And thank goodness for that, because it seems that the game will take up over 100GB of space. As anyone who has ever driven a car knows, a lot of them can fit into 100GB. So you better free up space on your PlayStation and get to downloading it as soon as possible.
The game weighs in at 101.892GB on the PlayStation 4, with 12.818GB needing to be downloaded to start playing. But if you're one of the few who managed to secure a PS5, the game is 96.800GB, with 10.064GB needed to be downloaded in order to start playing. It isn't surprising that the game's file size is so large, considering the visual fidelity that Polyphony showed off in the trailers.

What's more, Gran Turismo 7 will also feature a state of the art AI called Sophy. Sony AI claims that Sophy can compete against the best Gran Turismo drivers and has mastered the game's physics engine – which the devs claim is the most realistic physics engine in any racing game, anywhere. The AI was then trained to go up against the best drivers in a number of scenarios, and learned how to pull ahead in those situations.
"That turns racing into a complex back and forth between opponents including defend and pretend behaviors as well as pushing the limits on the racing lines, braking and acceleration points," said Sony AI. Even FIA Gran Turismo Championships 2020 World Finalist, Emily Jones had a tough time against Sophy. "It is very fast. Way faster than I was expecting,” she said.
