Gotham Knights' Batgirl Reveal Needs To Show What Makes Her Unique
The next reveal for Gotham Knights will focus on Batgirl, but it needs to show what sets this version of the character apart from others. Thus far, she has received barely any attention aside from the original reveal trailer and gameplay demonstration. Her role in the game and what sets her apart have yet to be explained, and that is something that must be rectified.
Gotham Knights stands in a unique spot as a Batman video game that doesn't star Batman himself. Instead, it revolves around members of the Bat Family defending Gotham City after his death. This group includes Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood. While the information that has come out has painted an interesting picture of what to expect from the game, and it looks like Gotham Knights will be the perfect Halloween game, the reveals have not paid equal attention to each member of the playable cast. Unfortunately, Batgirl has gotten the short end of the stick in that department, and her gameplay reveal at SDCC 2022 is overdue.

Thus far, Gotham Knights has slowly been trickling out information. Elements such as the mystery of Batman's death and the involvement of the Court of Owls have been revealed, although it will take until the game's release in October for the full scope of those elements to be seen. At the same time, some more character-specific information has been revealed as well.
