Google made an official announcement revealing two of its newest mainline products: the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. Google also divulged some new information regarding the evolution of the Pixel line, along with one surprising choice.
The reveal follows a sneak-peak from earlier this year. Back in May at Google's I/O 2022, their yearly developer conference, they gave audiences a hint at the Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. Showing off just the back of the devices, viewers got a look at two white phones with silver camera bars, one matte and one shiny. Of note was the differing camera setup between the two models, the Pro seemingly having more functionality.

Now Google has lifted the lid on both the Pixel 7, and it's big brother, the Pixel 7 Pro, offering fans more details on the pair. The phones will have the Google Tensor G2, which is the company's own processor, along with the Titan M2 chip which is intended to improve user data security. Surprisingly, Google also revealed that the new phones would come with their own built-in VPN (virtual private network) at no extra cost. This is an interesting choice because Google previously released its own VPN back in 2020, but it was at a charge of $10.99/month, and that release came with some different perks. Google didn't imply if Pixel 7 users would be granted those same perks.
The new phones also boast several other features and improvements over their predecessors.
