It has been a while but the Google Pixel is back! No, not in India but on the DxOMark table. The Google Pixel 7 Pro has just gone through the DxOMark test and has come out on top of every other phone. Not exactly top, but the Pixel 7 Pro shares the top step with the Honor Magic 4 Ultimate. With an overall score of 147, the Pixel 7 Pro one ups the iPhone 14 Pro's score of 146. The score differences are just 1 point apart but we have our new still camera champion.
The Pixel 7 Pro gets 148 points for its still photography, which comprises of 143 points for zoom, and 143 for video. The video score is where the Pixel 7 Pro falls behind in comparison to the iPhone 14 Pro, which earned a score of 149. The iPhone 14 Pro also has a better selfie camera than the Pixel 7 Pro, as suggested by the scores of 145 and 142 respectively.
While the DxOMark tests put these phones through several scientific tests, it should be noted that both phones are almost equally good, and you are bound to get the best results regardless of your choice. We are currently testing the Pixel 7 Pro's camera and so far, it has impressed us with its night photography and natural skin tones. The iPhone 14 Pro Max, however, has a slight edge with minute details as well as better white balance.
As a reminder, the Pixel 7 Pro gets to have a 50MP main camera with a f/1.9 aperture lens and a 1/1.3-inch. This is accompanied by a 48MP telephoto camera with 5X optical zoom and makes use of Google's Super Hi Res Zoom for digital zoom up to 30X. Lastly, you get to see a 12MP ultrawide camera. The front camera uses a 10.8MP camera.
