The hardware requirements for the PC version of the upcoming remake of Dead Space have now been revealed. As one of the most celebrated survival horror games of previous generations, many fans will be looking forward to it making a comeback. The gaming sphere has been in the midst of a remake and remaster frenzy these past few years, and while the original story of Isaac Clarke still holds up to this day, this upcoming iteration is being hugely anticipated by the community.
On top of that, developer EA Motive recently revealed a gameplay trailer for the Dead Space remake, showing off the more modern visuals and what players can expect from the game come January 27, with Clarke onboard the USG Ishimura experiencing an onslaught of Necromorphs. The project is being built from the ground up by EA's Motive Studios and features fantastically up-to-date graphics, and the protagonist is being voiced by Gunner Wright whereas Clarke was silent in the original. It certainly looks as though the Dead Space remake going to be the horror hit of early 2023, and no doubt PC users will have been curious what the specifications are for the game.
Dead Space Remake Reveals New Screenshots
According to the Dead Space Steam page, the remake will require at least an AMD Ryzen 5 or Intel Core i5 processor and 16 GB of RAM. In terms of GPU, the minimum PC players will need is either an AMD RX 5700 or GTX 1070, though the recommended graphics hardware is an RX 6700 XT or RTX 2070. At least the game won't require something with a lot of heft, like an RTX 3090 or the upcoming Nvidia RTX 4090. As for operating system, a 64-bit version of Windows 10 will be needed.
