God of War Becomes The Last of Us 2 In Abby vs Ellie Mod
A new God of War mod turns the game into The Last of Us 2 by transforming Kratos and Baldur into Abby and Ellie. The two PlayStation-exclusive franchises both see grizzled warriors travel across harsh fictional worlds accompanied by plucky yet capable children. Since the game's release on PC there has been an influx of God of War mods, like one that replaces Kratos and Atreus with Homer and Bart Simpson, and now a modder has turned the mythological title into a recreation of The Last of Us 2.
Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic epic The Last of Us follows Joel and Ellie, two survivors who must traverse America after a fungal infection ravages the world. While the duo's journey is treacherous, the title focuses more on the emotional development of Joel and Ellie's relationship. 2020's The Last of Us Part 2, meanwhile, sees Ellie embark on a vicious quest for revenge against a fellow survivor named Abby. The series' plot and tone has often been compared to 2018's God of War, which sees series protagonist Kratos journey through Norse myth alongside his young son Atreus. Fans previous turned Kratos and Atreus into Joel and Ellie in a Last of Us crossover mod for God of War, and now a new mod serves to recreate The Last of Us 2 instead.

YouTuber Speclizer recently showed off a God of War PC mod that swaps Kratos' model with The Last of Us 2's Abby, while Baldur becomes a vengeful Ellie.
