The Summer Game Fest has been full of major announcements for AAA and indie games, but one of the biggest surprises of the show came from an indie developer. Coffee Stain Studios took the opportunity to unveil the newest game in the Goat Simulator series with a hilarious cinematic trailer capturing the mayhem of the series. Goat Simulator 3 is confirmed to be in development and these goats have some new tricks up their sleeve.
The Goat Simulator 3 Summer Game Fest cinematic announcement trailer started with an unsuspecting speed walker putting in their earbuds and smiling. As they exercised down the pier, a small army of actual goats appeared behind them, acting out an increasing amount of chaos. Goats headbutt unsuspecting pedestrians. Goats shoot rocket launchers. Goats use telepathy to increase the size of human heads to enormous proportions. Needless to say, these goats have an arsenal of fun new toys at hand.

Those unfamiliar with the Goat Simulator experience will be excited to hear that the game offers a sandbox experience for players to create endless mayhem. Mayhem is more fun with friends, so Goat Simulator 3 will offer up to four-player co-op both locally and through online multiplayer. Also new in the sequel is an array of mini-games that goats can play together.
While a release date for Goat Simulator 3 hasn't been revealed yet, developer Coffee Stain Studios is sure to be sharing more information in the months to come. Goats are just the beginning of Goat Simulator 3.
Goat Simulator 3 launches in the fall of 2022 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
