Check out another fresh trailer for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, the upcoming DLC expansion for CD Projekt Red’s sci-fi RPG, coming out on 26th September 2023 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
The Phantom Liberty DLC will take you to Dog Town, an unexplored part of Night City, with the mission to find and rescue the President of the New United States of America.
Alongside Keanu Reeves returning in the role of Johnny Silverhands, there’s also Idris Elba, and FIA agent. The pair
Elba will play FIA agent for the New United States of America, Solomon Reed, a new character being introduced in the spy thriller narrative that Phantom Liberty will weave. You’ll need to team up with him to take on a mission of espionage and simple survival.
This will be the one and only DLC expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. CDPR’s ambitions for releasing expansions shortly after release went right out the window shortly after the original December 2020 release. They only released the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrades back in February 2022, which brought with it some major overhauls to core gameplay elements. This also meant that they had to extend the development of expansions to the game, confirming a couple months later that the DLC will not launch until 2023. Now we have a date in September. Rejoice!
