Jagex dropped the roadmap for their high fantasy open-world MMORPG RuneScape during a livestream yesterday. It shows what’s to come for the rest of the year. There are new modes, new dungeons and more. If you’re a ‘Scaper, then follow along for all the details on the RuneScape 2024 roadmap!
Coming later this year is the new Group Ironman mode. It’s a nod to the original Ironman Mode, marking its 10th anniversary. This new mode will let you tackle the game alongside your friends with a twist: There will be no Grand Exchange, player trading or PvP XP. It’ll be just about earning your stripes through gathering and crafting.
Come July and you’ll see the launch of the Sanctum of Rebirth, a dungeon packed with boss fights and designed for groups of 1-4 players. If you can conquer its challenges, there are some epic new weapons and upgrades waiting for you.
If you prefer levelling up your skills over duking it out, the RuneScape 2024 roadmap has something for you! A Skilling Boss is in the works for later this year, tying into the Sanctum of Rebirth and the new Story Quests. Also, two new Story Quests will be dropping later this year, continuing the Bilrach storyline.
Seasonal Events are making a comeback too! Summer is bringing The Beach, while autumn is getting spooky with a new Halloween event, and winter is wrapping things up with the Christmas Village update. Each event will have different quests, characters and rewards.
