Genshin Impact update 2.8 is slowly coming to an end which means that the long-awaited Version 3.0 is just around the corner. The release of a new major update is always surrounded by tons of hype in the community as it allows players to discover a brand-new region.

Genshin Impact Leak Hints At Version 3.0 File Size
According to the tweet, the new event will premier on Genshin Impact's official Twitch channel on August 13 at 08:00 AM (UTC-4). A couple of Genshin Impact leakers revealed that HoYoverse's original plan was to release the live stream one day earlier, but it was delayed because the Ghost Festival in China falls on August 12. HoYoverse has introduced a pattern of releasing a preview 10-15 days before the new update arrives, which means that Genshin Impact Version 3.0 should arrive around August 25. The ongoing limited banner, Tapestry of Golden Flames, is set to expire on August 23 and there is almost always a two-day gap between a limited banner and a new update.
The upcoming 3.0 update preview is also expected to be one of Genshin Impact's largest events as it will reveal more information about the new region of Sumeru.
