Companies like Ubisoft and Xbox have announced Gamescom 2022 appearances and what they plan to do with their time at the event. Bethesda will also be at this year's Gamescom, with its own booth where fans can get a look at upcoming titles such as Redfall and Starfield.
A recent post on Bethesda's official website had fans excited as it seemed to indicate that new Starfield gameplay would be shown at this year's event. The first and last time gamers peeked at Starfield gameplay was back at the Summer Game Fest in June, and so many were hoping that some new footage would make its way to Gamescom. However, it has since been clarified that Starfield won't be showing anything new at the event in August. Instead, Bethesda has confirmed what fans can expect to see from its latest sci-fi RPG.

The original post, which can be viewed below, was later updated to clarify that fans could expect to see a replay of the Starfield and Redfall gameplay shown at the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. That update was then given another coat of paint to remove the mention of Starfield altogether, meaning that some questioned whether the game would even be at Gamescom. However, Bethesda has confirmed that the game will be at this year's event in the form of a life-sized VASCO statue at the very least.
