Genshin Impact players were recently treated to a new Pyro character, but fans have already uncovered hints about upcoming additions. Findings suggest that Zhongli is one of the game's future characters, and one user has already discovered a useful new technique.
While most of Genshin Impact gameplay involves combat and quest completion, players often find themselves foraging for ingredients and mining for minerals. It seems that incoming Geo-user Zhongli has access to an ability that makes mining much easier.
Genshin Impact: Secret To Finding Missing Ghosts (Seelie)
Just like in Breath of the Wild, players in Genshin Impact must strike deposits of metal to earn chunks. Commonly found on mountainsides and near caves in Teyvat, crystal and metal chunks can be destroyed to produce ores that are required for forging. Some of the commonly mined minerals include Crystal Chunks, White Iron Chunks, and Iron Chunks.
Players can strike mineral deposits with any powerful weapons in Genshin Impact, but a claymore will shatter them in one swipe. As such, players generally switch over to claymore users when mining. That being said, swinging a claymore takes time and requires the player to approach and aim at each individual mineral deposit. It's faster than striking minerals with a regular sword or polearm, but it still involves lugging around a giant sword and picking up chunks one at a time.
Thankfully, it seems Zhongli will take advantage of his Geo abilities to help players mine. While claymores all deal boosted damage against Geo, Zhongli relies on his innate skills instead. The Liyue native is able to use his Elemental Skill to instantly shatter all nearby mineral deposits, as seen in a video posted to Reddit by user genshincake.
