Galactus is a comic juggernaut in the pages of Marvel Comics, as the villain first debuted in Fantastic Four #48 by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee. Formerly a being named Galan of Taa, he was transformed into Galactus during the birth of the Seventh Cosmos, saving him from the renewal of the Multiverse. As the Devourer of Worlds, Galactus destroys and eats planets to feed his hunger, serving as an important fixture in balancing the universe. Over time, he's tried to devour Earth multiple times, often accompanied by a Herald, most famously Silver Surfer, who leads the epic-sized Galactus to planets able to satisfy his hunger. However, in a new cosplay, a human-sized Galactus seems to finally get his wish by taking a chunk out of Earth.
