Resource management is one of - if not the - most important aspects of Frozenheim. Sure, having a large army and crushing bandits and devious Jarls is fun, but you can’t do any of that without a rock-solid home base that is fuelling the war effort. Not only that, but you have to feed your Workers, and replenish any fallen warriors. It’s quite a logistical task.

One thing that makes all of this harder, is the labour required to gather resources. You have to have guys toiling in fields, enduring the bitter cold fishing, or even just slogging carts around transporting all of those goods back to your Jarl’s Homestead. It all takes time, and sometimes, you just don’t have enough of it. This is where Warehouses come into play.
Warehouses are quite possibly the most powerful building in all of Frozenheim. You might think that we are exaggerating here, but, trust us, we aren’t. Warehouses can improve the efficiency of your Settlement by such a vast amount, it’s difficult to exist without them once you discover them.
Warehouses, in very simple terms, allow you to store resources. This sounds pretty underwhelming since, well, the Jarl’s Homestead does this exact thing. To understand why a Warehouse is so powerful, you need to understand how resources are gathered.
Resources are harvested by Workers who are assigned to a specific building, like a Fisherman’s Hut. Once they have done their fishing, a Worker assigned to the Jarl’s Homestead will slowly walk to the Fisherman’s Hut, take the resources, and then slowly ship them back to the Jarl’s Homestead. Once this is done, you then have those resources to play with.
