Frost Mage in the War Within
As we move into The War Within, it's time to take a look at how Frost has developed over the beta. The specialization has seen some changes over the beta to shake things up a little and correct some of the issues that were present with the specialization at the end of Dragonflight. Before we talk about Frost itself, though; let's look at how the new Hero Talents available to Frost Mages stack up against each other.
Hero Talent Showdown: Frostfire vs. Spellslinger
Frost Mages in The War Within will choose between Frostfire and Spellslinger. With Frostfire, Frostbolt will be replaced with Frostfire Bolt and the Mage gains stacks of Frostfire Mastery and they use Frost and Fire spells. The main gameplay interaction for this hero tree occurs through Excess Frost and Excess Fire.
