In Forza Horizon 5, players will want to complete the "Light the Beacon" challenge in conjunction with the Lunar New Year to earn points and a new chat message. This mission is one of the weekly quests introduced this Winter season, which often require players to capture photos of unique landmarks, meet speed goals, and, occasionally, destroy property. For the Winter season, players will be asked to "Light the Beacon," which requires them to light Chinese lanterns scattered throughout the Western side of the Forza Horizon 5 map in the Baja region.

Many of the lanterns are on top of the sand dunes, and a sizable cluster of them will be found floating over a valley. Dunas Blancas is the only location to find the floating lanterns, but there are many of them.
